Ashleigh Kelley Named GNAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - After breaking her own school record in the 1500 meter run by over five seconds, senior Ashleigh Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week, announced Monday afternoon, Mar. 28, by the league office.

Kelley posted a 1500 meter run time of 5:01.18 to finish first among Division III representatives and third overall behind only two competitors from Division I Merrimack College at the BSU Bears Invitational, hosted by Bridgewater State University at the Edward C. Swenson Athletic Complex.

This is Kelley's first GNAC award of the outdoor track and field season after previously receiving five GNAC Runner of the Week awards during the 2021 cross country season.

Regis College next competes at the Wellesley Invitational next Saturday, April 2, at Butler Stadium in Wellesley, Mass., beginning at 11 a.m.
