Women’s Track & Field Concludes Indoor Season

WATERVILLE, Maine – Members of the Regis College women's track and field team wrapped up the indoor season by competing in the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend, held at Colby College.

Saturday, Ashleigh Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) finished eighth in her section of the one mile run and 24th overall with a time of 5:29.04. Kelley had qualified for the championship meet with a school-record time of 5:23.83 at the Middlebury Winterfell Jan. 22.

The Pride were also represented in Friday's distance medley relay, as the team of Libby Parker (Bow, N.H.), Emily Fagundo (Dover, N.H.), Lizzy Melvin (Southington, Conn.), and Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) finished in 19th place overall with a total time of 14:10.79.

The Regis College track and field team will now focus on the start of the outdoor competition season exactly one month away, as the Pride are scheduled to participate in the BSU Bears Invitational in Bridgewater, Mass., Saturday, March 26.
