Regis Track & Field Back in Action at Art Farnham Invite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Regis College track and field team returned to competition Saturday at the Art Farnham Invitational, hosted by MIT at the Johnson Athletic Center.

Abby Kilbride (Peabody, Mass.) notched times of 8.94 seconds in the 60 meter dash and 31.05 seconds in the 200 meter dash, finishing first in both events. Ashleigh Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) also earned two first place finishes, winning the 800 meter run in 2:40.93 and the one mile run in 5:29.85, just 36/100ths of a second off her school record.

Also in the one mile run, Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) finished second in 5:52.64 and Libby Parker (Bow, N.H.) crossed the finish line in fourth in 6:34.14, both personal best times. In the 800 meter run, Annabelle Jean-Philippe (Randolph, Mass.) posted a time of 2:57.80, with Elizabeth Stevenson (Scituate, Mass.) right behind her in 2:58.48, while Katie Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) completed the 600 meter run in 2:11.41, exactly 11 seconds faster than her previous best time in the event.

In the women's 60 meter hurdles, Hannah Plamondon (Woonsocket, R.I.) posted a personal indoor best time of 11.02 seconds, followed by Emily Aho (Pelham, N.H.) in 11.86 seconds. Both competitors also earned personal best marks in the long jump, with Plamondon finishing fifth at 4.32 meters (14' 2.25") and Aho right behind her at 4.06 meters (13' 4"). In addition, Plamondon posted a personal best mark of 9.15 meters (30' 0.25") in the triple jump, with Aho notching a top triple jump mark of 8.69 meters (28' 6.25").

Brett Kiesel (Rocky Hill, Conn.) finished fourth in the 400 meter run with a time of 53.34 seconds, plus he finished fifth in the long jump with a personal indoor best mark of 5.83 meters (19' 1.5") accomplished on his fifth attempt. Mitchell Weiner (Plano, Texas) posted a personal-best time of 7.95 seconds in the 60 meter dash, and Zach Sigman (Buffalo, N.Y.) completed the one mile run in 5:22.24.

In the throwing events, Danny Skinner (Natick, Mass.) showed improvement from his performance in the first meet of the season with marks of 8.33 meters (27' 4") in the shot put and 7.19 meters (23' 7.25") in the weight throw. Allie Sanidas (Ipswich, Mass.) posted marks of 9.20 meters (30' 2.25") in the weight throw and 8.72 meters (28' 7.5") in the shot put.

Regis College is next scheduled to compete in the Ramapo Opener at The Armory in New York City Friday, Jan. 21, starting at 10 a.m.
