TRACK AND FIELD GIVE BACK DURING HOLIDAY SEASON

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College Indoor Track and Field team took time out of their hectic schedule to volunteer at the annual Natick Jingle Bell Run on Sunday, December 11th. 100% of all of the proceeds from the race went to benefit the Natick Service Council.

On a chilly and crisp Sunday morning, bleary-eyed and still aching from the previous day's track meet, the athletes set out bright and early to provide timing support and act as course referees for the race. With the camaraderie of a true team, the men and women put forth their full support of the event enjoying the passing sights of Santa, reindeer, and plenty of jingle bells affixed to running shoes. 100% of all of the proceeds from the race went to benefit the Natick Service Council, with the 500 race participates generating over $5,000.

The Jingle Bell 2-mile "Fun-run" is a joint effort between The Natick Fit Girls and the Natick Police Chase Team with the Natick Service Council to raise money for families in our community who are less fortunate during the holiday season. The Natick Service Council helps the Natick community meet basic needs for food, housing, home heating fuel and access to health care, emphasizing core values of serving its community members with dignity and compassion.
