WESTON, Mass.Emily Kosak (Milton, Mass.) scored a game-high four goals and the Regis College women's lacrosse team moved one step closer to a fourth straight league title, beating Wheelock College 15-6 in the semifinals of the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament Thursday at Regis Stadium.

Wheelock closes its season at 10-8 while the top-seeded Pride (11-6) move on to the title game against the winner of Southern Vermont and Becker.

Taylor Assarian (Arlington, Mass.) and Nicole Roche (Waltham, Mass.) added three goals apiece with Kosak also assisting on a pair of goals. Alexah Mellis (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Georgia Schindele (Sparkille, N.Y.) both had a pair of goals for the Wildcats who led 2-0 less than four minutes into the game. Colleen Mac Donald (Sandwich, Mass.) scored the game's first goal on a free position shot then Schindele scored off a pass from Emma Marrs (Old Lyme, Conn.) for the early two-goal lead.

The Pride would take over from there. Kosak got Regis' first two goals within two minutes apart. She ran through the teeth of the defense for her team's first goal then took a pass from the left side to tie up the game. Mary Roma (Portland, Maine) then put in back-to-back goals and Assarian followed with two of four goals as the Pride built a 6-2 lead.

Schindele would shave the lead to 7-4 but two late first half goals from Roche put her team up 11-4 at the break. Regis kept Wheelock at arms length in the second half and cruised to the win.

Emma Decker (Southborough, Mass.) had seven saves in net for the Pride and is now just six away from 600 for her career. Meghan Lewis (South Berwick, Maine) posted 10 saves for Wheelock.

Start time at Regis Stadium for the championship game is set for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
