PRIDE SET FOR LIONS

Weston, Mass. ---The Regis College women's tennis team is set to play Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday (Sept. 29) at the Regis College Athletic Field. The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 1-7 and a 1-6 record in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Lions enter the contest with an overall record of 0-10 and are 0-7 in TCCC.

Leading the Pride in singles is junior Mary Jane Barron (Whitinsville, Mass. /Holy Name) who has played well this year for the Pride.  Teanna Montoya (Oak Bluffs, Mass. /Martha's Vineyard Regional) has continued to improve on her singles game and hopes to continue to excel in doubles play with Barron. Freshman Kunjan Patel (Waltham, Mass. / Waltham) and Paige Pasley (Dorchester, Mass. / Fontbonne Academy) have been performing well for the Pride and look to have a strong performance in the second doubles match.

Leading the Lions is sophomore Elise Sleeper (Sanford, Maine. /Seacoast Christian) who is the lions number one singles player.  Sophomore Monica Gonzales (Somerville, Mass. /Somerville) will look to have an impact on the Lions doubles play, along with junior Laura Keith (Bridgewater, Mass. /Bridgewater) who are set to play number one doubles for the lions.

The match is to be played at Regis College and is set to start at 3:30 pm.
