WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's swimming and diving teams placed 11 student-athletes on the 2019 Fall All-Academic Team sponsored by the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA), announced Tuesday by the coaches' organization.

In order for a swimmer or diver to make the All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher for the Fall 2019 semester. In total, 194 student-athletes, 150 women and 44 men, made the NEISDA Fall 2019 All-Academic Team.

Co-captain Sarah Leonard (Brockton, Mass.) was named to the team for the fifth time in her collegiate career, while fellow seniors Caoilinn Bassignani (Franklin, Mass.) and co-captain Ryan Moran (Arlington, Mass.) were recognized for the fourth time. Thalia Bowie (Lexington, Mass.), Julia Burke (North Andover, Mass.), and Alexa Lancisi (Milford, Mass.) earned the third All-Academic honors of their respective careers.

Four members of the Pride women's swimming and diving team received NEISDA All-Academic honors for the first time: senior Gloria Sutton (Suffield, Conn.), sophomores Kyleigh Boatwright (Roseville, Calif.) and Mallytza Ibarra Davila (Yuma, Ariz.), and freshman Shawna MacNeil (Medford, Mass.). Regis is one of five schools with 10 or more representatives from the women's squad.

On the men's side, junior captain Grant Kollien (Acton, Mass.) earns his first career NEISDA All-Academic honor. With his inclusion, Regis is one of 11 NEISDA member schools with both male and female student-athletes on the Fall 2019 All-Academic Team.

Regis College is preparing for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, taking place for the first time at the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Mass., Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.
