PRIDE PRIMED TO PLAY SEAHAWKS

Weston, Mass.---The  Regis College women's soccer team is set to  play Salve Regina University Saturday (Sept. 25) at 2:30 pm.  The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 1-5 and 0-3 record in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Seahawks enter the contest with an overall record of 3-5 and are 1-2 in the TCCC.

The Pride are led on defense by sophomore goalkeeper Bethany Frye (Adams, Mass./ Hoosac valley) who has 19 saves on the season.  Juniors Kara Sharples (Pawtucket, RI/St. Raphael Academy) and Kelly Cadigan (Ware, Mass./Granby) look to secure the Pride's backfield with their high intensity on defense. On the offensive side of the field the Pride are led by freshman Tess Mclean (West Roxbury, Mass./ Mount Alvernia) who has two goals on the season. 

Leading the offense for the Seahawks is freshman Kaitlyn Birrell (Hope, RI./Scituate) who has nine registered goals on the season.  On the defensive side of the field the Seahawks are led by freshman Jacqueline McPherson (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) who has played in seven out of the eight games for the Seahawks.

The game is being played at Salve Regina University and will start at 2:30 pm
