NOR'EASTERS LEAVE REGIS COLLEGE STUNNED

WESTON, Mass.—The University of New England (5-1, 2-0 TCCC) stormed its way to a 5-0 victory over The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Regis College (1-4, 0-2 TCCC) Saturday. Four different Nor'easters tallied goals in the first half. Katie Caron (Winslow, Maine) scored UNE's first goal of the match at 14:11. Caron assisted Ellie Arsenault on the Nor'easters second goal of the game. Morgan Jensen and Lauren Blaisdell scored at 36:01 and 44:08 respectively. The fifth goal for UNE came from an errant header by Regis' Kara Donovan into the Pride's net.

As a team, UNE had 19 shots, with 10 being on goal in the first half. Regis did not manage a shot during the first period. Regis' Bethany Frye (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley) faced 10 shots on goal by UNE, saving six. Samantha Correia (Berlin, Mass.) relieved Frye in goal for the second period. Correia had three saves within the first 8:00 minutes of the second period.

Each team stood firm against the others offense. The Nor'easters had a total of 35 shots, with 19 on goal. The UNE defense kept Regis from taking any shots against keeper Jessica Woodworth (Concord, N.H.).

The Pride will head into its next match looking for a win against conference opponent New England College (Sept. 21), while UNE will travel to Endicott (Sept. 21) on the same day.
