Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women's soccer team is set to play the University of New England Saturday (Sept. 18) at the Regis College Athletic Fields. The Pride enters the contest with a record of 1-3 coming off a loss to Gordon College earlier this week. The Nor'easters enter the contest with a record of 3-1, coming off their only loss this season to Colby College.
Leading the Pride in goal is sophomore Bethany Frye (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley). On offense the Pride is led by freshman Tess McClean (West Roxbury, Mass./Mount Alvernia) who has two goals on the season. Captains Samantha LaFrance (Savoy, Mass./Hoosac Valley), Kelly Cadigan (Ware, Mass./Granby), and Kara Sharples (Pawtucket, RI/St. Raphael Academy) look to set the tone for the pride on the defensive side of the ball with their extensive in-game experience.
For the Nor'easters, they are led by freshman Ellie Arsenault (Saco, Maine./Thornton Academy) who is tied for most points on the team. Senior captains Kate Pemberton (Scarborough, Maine./Scarborough) and Cassie Zdrojeski (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) look to run the defensive side of the field for the Nor'easters.
