CHICOPEE, Mass. - Regis College could not bounce back from two significant scoring runs by Elms College, as the Blazers defeated the Pride, 22-11, Wednesday night in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's lacrosse match at Leary Field.

Regis struck first less than two minutes into the match as Madeline Conover (West Newbury, Mass.) scored her 32nd goal of the season off an assist from Maddey Strickland (Hopkinton, Mass.). However, Elms took control of the match with goals by Anna-Elise Pikul and Taylor Borla 25 seconds apart to start a stretch of eight straight goals for the Blazers.

However, Elms put together another scoring run of eight consecutive goals spanning the final 6:44 of the second quarter and the first four minutes of the third quarter.

Marley again halted the Blazer scoring streak with a goal midway through the third period. Pikul scored consecutive goals for Elms in the final minute-and-a-half of the third quarter, but the Pride rattled off four straight goals in the fourth quarter, the first two scored by Marley before she assisted on a goal from Serenity Ayala (North Brookfield, Mass.).

Retta Hatin (Hooksett, N.H.) added her second goal of the match after racing down the field, and Abbie Doheny (Lunenburg, Mass.) took advantage of an extra-player opportunity for her 18th goal of the season, with Pero picking up the assist.
