WINTHROP, Mass. – First-year player Isabella Beane (Marlborough, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week after leading the Pride offensively in two matches last week, as the league office announced the weekly award winners Monday evening.

In matches against Drew University and Albertus Magnus College, Beane totaled 11 goals and one assist for 12 total points. Last Tuesday against Drew, she scored five goals, including the team's first four goals of the match, as she converted on every shot on goal she took.

Saturday at Albertus Magnus, Beane finished with six goals, three in each half. All three of her second half goals came in the third quarter as the Pride established a 10-7 lead heading into the final period. She then assisted on the game-winning goal with 19 seconds remaining in regulation to give Regis its first victory of the season.

Beane currently leads the Pride with 12 goals, 13 total points, 19 total shots, and 17 shots on goal.

Regis College (1-2, 1-0 GNAC) heads to Northfield, Vt., to face the Norwich Cadets Wednesday, Mar. 16, starting at 7 p.m. The Pride will then host Emmanuel College Saturday, Mar. 19, beginning at 12 p.m. at Regis Stadium.
