SALAMONE, ROCHE SWEEP NECC AND ECAC WEEKLY HONORS

WESTON, Mass. - Regis College's Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) and Nicole Roche (Waltham, Mass.) were named the New England Collegiate Conference and Corvias ECAC Player and Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday night.

Salamone and Roche helped lead the Pride to their third-straight NECC Championship on Sunday afternoon as well as the Pride's first NCAA Tournament bid.

Sam Salamone was named the NECC Tournament MVP after scoring 11 goals and dishing out two assists in the NECC postseason. She scored five goals in an 18-4 win over Elms before registering six goals and two assists in the 18-6 win over Wheelock in the Championship game.

Nicole Roche scored a goal in both the NECC Semifinals and the NECC Championship game. This season, Roche has 17 goals and three assists in 15 games played.

The Regis College women's lacrosse team takes on MIT in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Middlebury College.
