WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior midfielder Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in Women's Lacrosse; it was announced on Monday morning.

Salamone started and played in three games for the Pride this past week. She accumulated a team-high nine goals and 11 points during the three game stretch. Salamone also dished out two assists, scooped up 13 groundballs, caused six turnovers and shot 82.4% on goal. She recorded three points or more in all three contests. In a 10-8 defeat at Emmanuel (Mass.) she scored four goals, was 2-for-2 on free position attempts and shot 100% on goal while snagging three groundballs.

The Pride will return to action this Tuesday, March 31st when the Crimson and Gold travel to Becker for a 4:00 p.m. showdown with the Hawks.
