REGIS LACROSSE HONORED BY IWLCA

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's lacrosse team has been honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association as a 2014 Academic Honor Squad. The Pride also had a pair of athletes named to the IWLCA All-Academic Honor Roll in Lindsey Graver (Bellingham, Mass.) and Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass.).

The IWLCA recognized 125 schools as earning IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2014 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors.

The IWLCA honored 363 student-athletes from 126 different Division III institutions with inclusion in the 2014 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.

Graver, who graduated this past spring, was a Nursing/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics major. She appeared in 14 games for the Pride in 2014, posting 15 goals, eight assists, and 13 groundballs. During her Regis career, Graver played in 56 games, scoring 39 goals and adding 26 assists for 65 career points, all ranked inside the top-10 in program history.

Teresa Busiek returned to the field in 2014 and appeared in just 13 games, but scored 35 goals to go with 21 assists, 54 groundballs, 18 draw controls, and 18 caused turnovers. Busiek has also had a stellar career with the Pride headed into her senior year, ranking third all-time in goals (132), third in assists (35), and third in points (167), while leading the program in groundballs (203), and ranking second in caused turnovers (81), and draw controls (84).
