POLITIS NETS NECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

WESTON, Mass. – Just days after leading her team to their second-straight New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Lacrosse Championship, Regis College's Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) has been named the NECC Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday morning.

Politis, the Tournament MVP, scored three goals and had two assists in the Pride's 20-8 win over Elms in the NECC Semifinals on Wednesday. In the Championship on Saturday, Politis notched five goals, two assists, nine groundballs, and forced four caused turnovers as Regis defeated Becker, 13-9. The junior attack also scored her 200th career goal on Saturday.

Politis finished the season with 50 goals and 20 assists for 70 points, all of which ranked among league leaders in the NECC. She helped lead the Crimson & Gold to a program-best record of 14-3 this year.
