WESTON, Mass. – Junior midfielder Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass.) of the Regis College women's lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league's offices on Monday morning. Busiek registered 12 points to help lead the Pride to a pair of wins this past week.

Busiek scored five goals, had three assists, and scooped up four ground balls as Regis defeated Thomas (Me.), 17-12 on Thursday. She followed that up by notching four goals, including the eventual game-winner, in a 12-11 comeback win over Emmanuel (Mass.) on Saturday. She also scooped up four ground balls, won one draw control, and forced two caused turnovers in the victory.

Busiek and the Pride (3-2), who have won three straight, welcome Rivier tonight for a 6 p.m. non-conference game.
