POLITIS NAMED ECAC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Junior attack Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) of the Regis College women's lacrosse team, the two-time reigning New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, was also named the Corvias Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) women's lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Week for Division III New England, it was announced on Tuesday.

Politis registered a team-high seven points to help lead the Pride to their first win of the season on Saturday. The junior scored four goals and assisted on three others in a 16-8 victory over Maine Farmington. She added eight ground-balls, forced four caused turnovers, and won three draw controls.

Through three games this season, Politis ranks first in the NECC in points (18), goals (13), and assists (5).

Politis and the rest of the Pride (1-2) will look to carry the momentum from Saturday's win into Thursday's non-conference contest with Thomas (Me.) on the turf at Regis Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
