POLITIS NETS NECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – Junior attack Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) of the Regis College women's lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday morning. Politis registered 11 points over two games for the Pride last week.

In the Pride's season opener last Saturday, Politis scored four goals and added two assists for six points in a loss to Simmons. She also added one ground ball, won one draw control, and forced two caused turnovers in the losing effort. On Thursday, Politis had five goals, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a setback to Johnson & Wales (R.I.).

Politis and the rest of the Pride (0-2) return to action for their home opener on Thursday, March 13 against Emmanuel (Mass.). The game is scheduled for 5 p.m.
