PILGRIMS HOLD STEADFAST AGAINST REGIS COLLEGE

Weston, Mass.—Freshman Katie Palasz (Granby, Mass.) scored four goals for New England College (6-5, 4-2 TCCC) in the first 15:00 minutes of its game versus Regis College Saturday. The Pilgrims defeated Regis College 21-4, to improve in The Commonwealth Coast Conference standings.

Palasz finished her day with four goals on four attempts. Regis College keeper Alycia Murray (Danvers, Mass.) was only able to save 13 New England shots taken at the Regis net.

Pilgrim teammate Miranda Tinsman (Belgrade, Maine) contributed three goals to New England 14-3 halftime score. Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass.) gave Regis College two goals in the first half, adding to her season total.

Teammates Evonne Orozco (Waltham, Mass.) and Ashley Hibbard (Marlboro, Mass.) each contributed a goal for the Pride.

Crevier led Regis in draw controls going into the second half with four total. New England’s Amanda Naime (York, Maine) had a game-high seven groundballs, and won four draw controls.

Rebecca Harvey (Natick, Mass.), Meredith Merce (Oakhurst, N.J.), Morgan Abbott (Newton, Mass.), and Diana Lynas (Rowley, Mass.) each contributed two goals apiece for the Pilgrims.

The loss drops Regis College to 1-8 overall, and 0-6 in the TCCC. Regis will host the University of New England, a conference opponent, on April 13. New England College will travel to Daniel Webster on April 12.
