WESTON, Mass. - Pam Gonzalez (Revere, Mass.) scored over 20 points for the fifth time this season in Wednesday night's 57-46 loss to Lasell University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's basketball matchup at Higgins Court.

Gonzalez led Regis with 26 points, earning her ninth double-double of the year with 14 rebounds while adding two steals. Jordyn Striggles (Raynham, Mass.) finished with eight points while Madi Zancan (Cumberland, R.I.) ended the game with five points and 12 rebounds. Valerie Whalen (Stoughton, Mass.) finished with five points and 13 rebounds.

After being held to zero field goals in the first quarter the Pride bounced back in the second, outscoring the visitors by nine points in the period (15-11). A layup by Gonzalez at the beginning of the quarter kicked off an 11-point scoring run for Regis, capped off by a three-pointer by Gonzalez, leaving the Pride trailing by only seven at halftime.

Regis cut the deficit even further in the third quarter with Gonzalez going to work once again, scoring the first six points for the Pride before Erika Marinelli (Point Pleasant, N.J.) knocked down a long jumper. After going down by 10 (40-30) Regis finished out the quarter with a six-point run on two layups by Gonzalez and a jumper by Striggles to end the period within four points of Lasell (40-36). Lasell went on to outscore the home team, 17-10, in the fourth to keep the Pride at bay and ensure the victory.

Juju Nealy came off the bench to lead the Lasers with 19 points while Jasmine DePina also came off the bench, scoring 11 points as well as snagging five steals and five rebounds. Laura Johnson was another major contributor with seven points and seven rebounds.
