D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All-Region 1 Team

WESTON, Mass. – Junior Pam Gonzalez (Revere, Mass.) has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 1 Third Team, announced Tuesday, Mar. 15.

Gonzalez, a First Team All-GNAC selection this past season, averaged 17.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game as she helped the Pride to a fourth place finish in the conference standings with an 11-3 league mark. She finished the 2021-22 season fourth in the GNAC in scoring average and in three-point field goal percentage at 38.5 percent, sixth in both field goal percentage at 46.5 percent and rebounding average, and seventh in steals per game.

Appearing in all 22 games for the Pride this season, including 19 starts, Gonzalez notched 10 double-doubles and reached double figures in scoring 18 total times, featuring eight games with 20 or more points. On Feb. 9 at Albertus Magnus, she became the first Pride player in four years to score 30 points in a single game, shooting 11-for-20 from the field, including four three-pointers.

Gonzalez was also named to the GNAC All-Tournament Team after averaging 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game to help the Pride advance to the semifinals of the conference tournament. She is now a two-time GNAC All-Tournament selection as well as a two-time All-GNAC honoree, as she was voted GNAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-GNAC after the 2019-20 season.

Gonzalez becomes the first player to represent Regis on the D3hoops.com All-Region Team since Brittany Stone was selected Fourth Team All-Northeast after the 2017-18 season.

The Regis College women's basketball team posted a 13-9 overall record in the 2021-22 season, winning 10 of its final 13 games of the year.
