WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) was selected to the D3hoops.com 2016 Women's All-Northeast Region Second Team it was announced Monday evening.

Hawkesworth, the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year, a three-time NECC Player of the Week, and one-time selection as the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week was named as a frontcourt selection to the All-Region Second Team.

The junior captain played in 27 games for the Pride, leading the team and ranking second in the conference in scoring with 17.3 points per game on 45.9% shooting, the seventh best mark in the league, including a 73.7% conversion rate from the charity stripe. She snagged 8.5 rebounds per game; good enough for ninth in the conference, handed out 2.6 assists per contest and came up with 1.4 steals per game.

She became the 16th member of the 1,000 point club against Elms on February 13th after snagging an offensive rebound off and putting the missed shot off the window and in for the milestone points. Hawkesworth currently ranks 10th all-time in scoring with 1,102 points.
