NASHUA, N.H. – Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) matched a career-high with 36 points while securing a game-high 16 rebounds as the Regis College women's basketball team's win streak reached nine games with a 75-71 victory over New England Collegiate Conference opponent Daniel Webster College on Saturday afternoon. The victory improves the Pride's record to 16-2, 12-0 NECC and the loss drops Daniel Webster's record to 7-11, 5-6 NECC.

Hawkesworth's 36 points and 16 rebounds was her sixth double-double of the season. The 36 points tied the most in program history, set by Hawkesworth on January 31, 2015 against Daniel Webster, it was matched again two weeks later on February 14, 2015 by Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) at Elms. Hawkesworth also made six steals in the contest.

Stone recorded a double-double herself with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Alyssa Lanpher (Princeton, Mass.) scored 11 points and played stifling defense holding one of the top guards in the conference, Ashley England (Old Town, Maine) to only five points.

Regis trailed 66-59 at the 3:56 mark of the fourth quarter after Escarlin Reynoso (Lawrence, Mass.) buried a pair of free throws but the Pride held the Eagles to just one point over the next 3:34. Regis took the lead on a Mikayla Murphy (Attleboro, Mass.) free throw with 1:31 left and then got a huge layup from Brandi Bonneau (Derry, N.H.) with 42 ticks that made it a 71-67 game.

Amanda Dargie (Melbourne, Fla.) answered with a three for the Eagles with 22 left however DWC got no closer in the closing seconds.

Reynoso finished three short of her career best, posting 18 for DWC going 6 of 10 from the field while Briana Diggs (Washington, DC) notched 14 points and eight boards. Kayla Free (Quincy, Mass.) sank four three-pointers to finish with 12 and added seven rebounds. Dargie chipped in with nine points, but DWC's two leading scorers - Ashley England (Old Town, Maine) and Jillian Gilman (Weare, N.H.) were held to a combined nine points although Gillman grabbed 10 boards.

Regis survived despite shooting just 34-percent on the afternoon, aiding their cause with a 49-40 differential on the glass, outscored DWC 30-14 in the paint and 14-8 on second-chance points.

Regis returns to the hardwood on Tuesday when they travel to UMass-Dartmouth for a 7:00 p.m. tip off.
