WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Alexa NeJaime (Sandisfield, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in Softball; it was announced on Monday morning.

Nejaime started and played in five games for the Pride during their spring break trip in Myrtle Beach. She was 4-for-16 (.250) during her first five career contests, knocking in one run and scoring twice. She has a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage and made five putouts during the contest against Anna Mara. Her best game at the dish during the trip was her first career collegiate contest as she went 2-for-3 during a 5- 4 loss to King's (Pa.).

The Pride will return to action this Saturday, March 21st when the Crimson and Gold host conference foe Newbury in Weston for a double-header with games at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
