WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College softball and field hockey teams volunteered their time and helped out at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society located in Natick a few weeks ago. The Pride teams helped out around the offices and helped complete projects.
Both teams experienced hands on learning with all of the
volunteer activities. Players compiled packets, sorted mail,
stuffed letters, and packed box gifts to send to school children
during the time spent volunteering at the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society.
Patient Services Manager Lara Smith was very pleased with the outcome of the community service day. Smith commented, “They were great, we really appreciated the teams help. I hope that we will see them again at are next event with the Revolution project.”
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society helps find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
