WINTHROP, Mass. - For the second time in the 2016-2017 season, Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.) of the Regis (Mass.) men's swimming and diving team has been named Corvias Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week. Luong previously received the honor on Nov. 14.

Luong had a career weekend at the GNAC Invitational hosted by Simmons College. The senior set five GNAC records individually and another as part of the 200 yard freestyle relay team. Luong set new GNAC records in the 50 yard freestyle, 200 yard individual medley, 400 yard individual medley (which he broke in the preliminary round then broke again in the final), 50 yard butterfly and 50 yard backstroke propelled the Pride to a second place finish in the five-team invitational meet.

Luong and the rest of the Pride will return to the pool after the holiday break for a tri-meet at Colby-Sawyer on Jan. 14 featuring the host Chargers and Simmons College.
