REGIS SWIMS AGAINST BRIDGEWATER STATE

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's swimming and diving teams met Bridgewater State University on Saturday morning in a dual meet in Weston, Mass. The men's teams tied at 113, while the Bears defeated the women's squad, 126-104.

"We really stepped up today and had many of our best swims so far this season," said Coach Sweeney. "We knew it would be tough to beat them since they have divers, and going in we were down 26 points in both meets. We did beat them in the pool, and for the women it was the first time in several years. I was very excited to see such great progress this week and look forward to continuing to have bigger improvements next weekend."

For the men, the 200 medley relay team of Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.), A.J. Graf (Newton, Mass.), Nick Rainville (Reading, Mass.), and Joe Woods (Milton, Mass.) took home the top time at 1:46:10. Luong would add wins in the 200 yard freestyle (1:51.77) and 100 yard backstroke (1:04.71), while A.J. Graf had wins in the 50 yard freestyle (22.89) and 100 yard freestyle (51.00).

Cassidy Bastinelli (Newton, Mass.) also added a win in the 500 yard freestyle (5:14.47).
