WESTON, Mass. – Regis College split a meet with the University of New England on Saturday afternoon in Weston, Mass. The men were victorious, 134-97, while the women fell to the Nor'Easters 161-101.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Cassidy Bastinelli (Newton, Mass.), Lawrence Reynolds (Hyde Park, Mass.), Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.), and Nicholas Rainville (Reading, Mass.) opened the day with a first place finish with a time of 1:52.30. Bastinelli added wins in the 200 free (1:54.02), and 100 free (50.82), while A.J. Graf (Newton, Mass.) posted wins in the 50 yard breaststroke (29.96) and 50 yard freestyle (22.79).

Kiet Luong had three top finishes on the day in the 50 yard backstroke (28.35), 100 yard butterfly (54.64), and 50 yard butterfly (25.38). Rainville was a close second in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 26.06. Rounding out the top finishes for the Pride was Michael Bruno (Winthrop, Mass.), who won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.67.

Robert Ekberg (Northbridge, Mass.) finished second in the 1,000 yard free (12:35.83), while Reynolds (1:16.28) and Greg Sarantakis (Lowell, Mass.) (1:19.05) finished second and third in the 100 yard breast.

For the women, the 200 yard medley relay team of Jessica Higgins (Peabody, Mass.), Haley Bowen (Litchfield, N.H.), Shannan O'Neil (Lowell, Mass.), and Ashlyn Deroche (North Reading, Mass.) won the first race of the day in 2:01.44. O'Neil also posted wins in the 50 yard freestyle (27.55) and 50 yard butterfly (29.88).

Lucia Llorente Ruiz (Newton, Mass.) finished with the top time in the 50 yard breast at 35.40, while Haley Bowen picked up a win in the 100 yard breast at 1:15.52. Jessica Higgins and Amanda Iandoli (Mansfield, Mass.) finished second (2:08.70) and third (2:24.41) in the 200 yard free, respectively. Higgins also added a second place showing in the 100 yard backstroke (1:07.20) and 500 yard free (5:57.67).

Ashlyn Deroche finished .03 seconds behind the top finisher in the 100 yard freestyle with at time of 1:00.35. Bowen was also close in the 100 yard individual medley with a time of 1:08.54, finishing just two seconds behind the top time.
