GRAF & LUONG SWEEP GNAC WEEKLY AWARDS

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College men's swimming & diving members Alex Graf (Newton, Mass.) and Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.) have been recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for their strong performances against Eastern Connecticut and Bridgewater State on Saturday. Graf, a junior, has been named the GNAC Swimmer of the Week, while Luong, a freshman, has been named the GNAC Rookie of the Week for the third straight week.

Graf won four events on Saturday, including the 50-yard freestyle (22.18) and the 100-yard freestyle (49.11). He was also part of the 200-yard medley relay team and 200-yard freestyle relay team that had first place finishes after posting 1:21.54 and 1:30.67, respectively.

Luong continued his impressive freshman campaign by winning four events on Saturday. He set a new school record and was the top finisher in the 200-yard fly with a time of 1:49.65. The rookie was part of the first place 200-yard medley relay team and 200-yard freestyle team with Graf. Luong also added a win in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.04) as well.

After a weekend off, Graf, Luong, and the rest of the Pride will return to the pool on Feb. 14, 15, & 16 for the NEISDA Championships at the University of Rhode Island.
