GRAF SHATTERS OWN SCHOOL RECORD AT REGIS INVITE

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's swimming & diving teams held the Regis College Invitational on Saturday afternoon with the hope that swimmers would improve their times and be able to qualify for the upcoming ECAC Championships.

The Invite was highlighted by Alex Graf (Newton, Mass.), who shattered his own school record in the 400 Individual Medley. The sophomore swam the event in a time of 4:29.95, which was a blistering 14 seconds faster than his previous record.

Head coach James Sweeney was pleased with his teams' efforts in the pool.

"Today was a last chance meet to get in a few more swims as our season winds down. We had a few more best times which is great. Alex continued his record breaking swims by breaking his own 400IM school record which was a great swim."

"We have a great group going to the ECAC Championships in a few weeks that we haven't participated in several years so this is a great step for our program."

The ECAC Championships will take place the weekend of March 1-3 at Harvard University.
