As a freshman:
LaForest posted his fastest 50 freestyle in 23.99 (1/24/10), his fastest 100 freestyle in 53.01 (1/24/10) and his fastest 200 free in 2:01.64 (1/20/10). The freshman notched best times in the 50 fly and 100 fly (11/4/09) with times of 26.58 and 58.72 respectively.

High School:
In high school Darren played both football and swimming.

Personal:
Darren likes to play video games and anime...his life goal is to be rich...his favorite athlete is himself...his favorite food is pizza...he is the son of Felio and Florence LaForest...has three sib lings Darryl, Felicha, and Alana.

Coach Kotch on Laforest:
"Darren will provide a spark in the sprint freestyle events. He is a strong kid with major upside. He is very coachable and eager to help move this program up the ranks in New England. I am excited to see where we can go with him."
