Men’s Lacrosse Loses at Emmanuel

BOSTON - Regis College lost to Emmanuel College, 18-2, Tuesday night in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's lacrosse match at Roberto Clemente Field.

Emmanuel (8-3, 6-0 GNAC) scored the first nine goals of the match before Nate Arsenault (Westford, Mass.) took advantage of an extra-man opportunity and tallied an unassisted goal in the second quarter. The Pride closed out the scoring for the night with 26 seconds left in regulation as Nick Klein (Buxton, Maine) scored an unassisted goal.

Ryan Castle led the Saints with three goals and three assists, while Drew Chant and Ryan Etzo also notched hat tricks with three goals apiece. Nolan Bosse and Micah Schlabach led Emmanuel with six groundballs each, and Paul Hardcastle paced the Emmanuel defense with four caused turnovers.

Robby Fuller (Wolfeboro, N.H.) made 12 saves in the match before being replaced by Devin Hammon (Chicopee, Mass.), who was credited with two saves. The goalie duties for Emmanuel were split between Randy Castle with three saves and Eric Anderson with five saves.

Regis College (3-5, 0-5 GNAC) heads to West Hartford, Conn., to face University of Saint Joseph Friday, April 7, beginning at 4 p.m. The Pride will then play four of their final five regular season matches at home, starting next Wednesday, April 12, against Rivier starting at 6 p.m.
