Men's Lacrosse Concludes Regular Season

NEWTON, Mass. – Regis College was defeated, 24-3, by GNAC-leading Lasell, Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse game at Grellier Field.

Lasell scored the first goal of the game only 35 seconds into the contest when Landon Reyes darted past the Regis defense for an unassisted goal. Minutes later, the Pride would take advantage of an extra-man opportunity when Ryan Richardson (Corona, Calif.) found Anthony Marsella (Johnston, R.I.) to tie the game at 1-1. Marsella would score his second goal of the match five minutes later, this time assisted by Brendan Cook (Billerica, Mass.).

For the remainder of the game, the Lasers' offense overwhelmed the Pride, scoring the next 20 goals of the contest. Richardson would break the scoring lull for Regis when he found the net on an unassisted goal early in the fourth quarter.

Nick Penta (Cotuit, Mass.) and Robby Fuller (Wolfeboro, N.H.) split time in the net for the Pride, combining for 13 total saves. Alex Beauchemin and Liam Hill combined for three saves for Lasell.

Saturday's loss against Lasell concludes regular season play for Regis College (2-13, 0-10 GNAC).
