Karofsky Lands NECC's First Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Regis (Mass.) attacker AJ Karofsky (Barrington, R.I.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference's first men's lacrosse player of the week of the 2017 season.

In the season opener for the Pride, Karofsky led the team collecting four goals and a game-high three assists. The junior attacker had seven total shots on goal and a 57.1% shooting percentage in the game in a narrow loss vs. SUNY Poly.

Karofsky's honor comes just days after the Pride were picked by the NECC to defend its 2016 title.

The Pride (0-1) return to action Saturday, Mar. 4 with its road opener at Dean College, the first of five straight road games. Face off is set for 1:00 p.m.
