D.J. Barrile Garners ECAC, NECC Weekly Recognition

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior goalkeeper D.J. Barrile (Medford, Mass.) has been named the Eastern Conference Athletic Conference's Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. This comes just one day after the New England Collegiate Conference named him Player of the Week. 

Barrile a had another strong week in the cage for the Crimson and Gold. Backed by a tenacious defense, the junior netminder went 2-0 on the week with 27 saves, a 5.00 goals against average and a 73.0 save percentage. In conference play versus Becker, Barrile made 15 saves on 18 shots for a 83.3 save percentage while holding the defending NECC champion Hawks to only three goals.

The Pride return to action this week, visiting New England College for a 4:00 p.m. game on Wednesday, April 13.
