WESTON, Mass. – Senior defender Brian Cidado (Easton, Mass.) has been named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic All-Region Team, it was announced on Tuesday. Cidado helped lead the Pride to the program's first winning season this year with a 9-8 record.

A nursing major with a 3.89 GPA, Cidado was one of 49 student athletes representing 24 NCAA Division III achieving Academic All-Region status.

In order to be selected for this team, student-athletes must be in their final year of eligibility, have posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and be a significant enough contributor on the field that they were nominated for conference or regional recognition.

Brian Cidado was a First Team All-NECC selection this season after starting 16 games for the Pride and picking up 22 groundballs and causing 14 turnovers. He graduates Regis tied for second in career games played (54), eighth in career groundballs (74), and third in caused turnovers.
