ASTON, Pa. – The Regis College men's lacrosse team dropped a 12-4 decision on the road at Neumann University on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. The Pride fall to 1-1 on the year with the setback.

Neumann struck first in the second minute of the first half, before Peter Fucci (Amherst, N.H.) knotted the game at 1-1 with an unassisted tally only 43 seconds later. The Knights would go on to score three more goals in the first quarter, including one on the man advantage and a pair from Kevin Fonio.

The second quarter was all Neumann as the Knights scored six times before the half. Fonio added his third-straight goal, while Patrick Rose sandwiched goals around a Ryan Lee score. Ryan Eber and Chris Scott ended the period with a goal each as Neumann took a 10-1 advantage into the half.

The Pride's Alex Ferran (Miami, Fla.) opened the scoring in the third quarter off a feed from Andrew O'Reilly (Hollis, N.H.) to cut the deficit to 10-2. Eber answered for the Knights with a goal, but Ferran scored his second goal of the quarter on the man advantage to make it an 11-3 game headed into the fourth quarter.

Both teams would only score once in the final frame as Matt Vogan (Billerica, Mass.) tallied his team-leading fourth goal of the season to give the game its final score of 12-4.

Freshman D.J. Barrile (Medford, Mass.) suffered the loss in goal, making 21 saves and scooping up nine groundballs in his first career game between the pipes. O'Reilly and Brandon Mehler (Bay Shore, N.Y.) each added four groundballs for the Pride.

Regis returns to action on Monday afternoon when the Pride hosts Rivier University at 5:00 p.m. in a game that was postponed from February 26.
