
REGIS PICKED SECOND IN NECC PRESEASON POLL
The Regis College men's lacrosse team has been projected to finish second in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) this season, it was announced on Thursday by the conference's offices.
WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College men's lacrosse team has been projected to finish second in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) this season, it was announced on Thursday by the league's offices. Placement is determined by a vote amongst the conference's coaches.
The Pride, who return 13 letterwinners from last year's squad, finished just behind reigning NECC Champion Mitchell College in the voting after picking up 10 points. The Mariners topped the poll after receiving 16 points and all four first place votes.
Becker College and Daniel Webster College round out the bottom half of the poll with nine points and five points, respectively.
Sophomores Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.) and Jack O'Brien (Milton, Mass.), a pair of 2013 NECC First Team selections, return for the Pride this season.
