PRIDE ENDS SEASON WITH WIN, DEFEATS THOMAS 10-6

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men's lacrosse team defeated Thomas College Thursday (Apr. 28) by the score of 10-6. The Pride moves to 4-7 overall on the season. The visiting Terriers move to 4-9 overall on the season and are 4-3 in the North Atlantic Conference.

The Pride was led by sophomore Bradford Hastings (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield ) who had a team high in goals with five on the game.  John Basbas (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) chipped in with two  goals and two assists for four points on the game. Billy Stewart (West Roxbury, Mass./Catholic Memorial )  Matt Vogan (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) and Matt Malloy (Saugus, Mass./St. Mary's ) all chipped in with one goal apiece to spark the Pride's offense.

Tyler Beyor (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage ) played well in net for the Pride making twelve saves to give the Pride's defense a solid win.  Andrew Goldberg (Solebury, PA/New Hope) helped the Pride clear the ball and tallied five groundballs.

The Terriers were led by Gunnar Shelton (Eugene, Ore./Churchhill) who had a team high in goals with two. Geoff Carpenter (Middleton, Mass./Hebron Academy ), and Jeffrey Morse (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) chipped in with one goal apiece. The Terrier defense was led by Jesse Morkeski (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) who tallied 26 saves on the game.

This was the last game of the season for the Pride who finished with an overall record of 4-7. This win sets a new program record for wins in a season with four.

The Terriers next game is against U-Maine Farmington for the first round of the NAC playoffs.
