Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s lacrosse team is set to take on Mitchell College Wednesday (Apr. 20). The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 3-4. The visiting Mariners enter the contest with an overall record of 7-3.
The Pride is led by freshman John Basbas (Framingham, Mass./Framingham ) who currently ranks number on the team in goals with 17 on the season. Bradford Hastings (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) will look to improve on his feeding skills as he enters the contest with a team high of 13 assists on the season. Matt Vogan (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) and Billy Stewart (West Roxbury, Mass./Catholic Memorial) will look to continue with their offensive production in goals and assists.
The Pride is led on Defense by Tyler Beyor (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) and Breandan Crane (Billerica, Mass./Arlington Catholic ). Beyor and Crane have split time in goal for the Pride all season. Both Keepers have played well this season and have tallied a total of 86 saves. Andrew Goldberg (Solebury, PA/New Hope) has tallied a team high in groundballs with 26 and caused 14 turnovers this season.
The Mariners are led by Adam Grillo (Waterford, Conn./Waterford) who has a team high of 33 goals on the season. Shane Sullivan (Quaker Hill, Conn./Waterford) is the main setup man for the Mariners tallying 13 assists on the season.The Mariner defense is led by goal keeper Peter Eshenfelder (Quaker Hill, Conn./Waterford). Eshenfelder has tallied 109 saves on 320 shots faced this season.
The game will be played at Regis College and is set for a 6:00 p.m. start.
