Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men's lacrosse team was defeated by Becker College Monday (Apr. 11) by the score of 20-5. The Pride moves to 3-3 overall on the season. The visiting Hawks improve to 6-7 overall on the season.
The Pride was led by Matt Vogan (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) who tallied a team high of three goals. Stephan Bottex (Norwood, Mass./Norwood) and John Basbas (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) chipped in for one goal apiece.
The Prides defense was led by Andrew Goldberg (Solebury, PA/New Hope) who led the team with six groundballs. Breandan Crane (Billerica, Mass./Arlington Catholic) started in net for the Pride tallying 11 saves. Tyler Beyor (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) finished the game for the Pride tallying 10 saves.
The Hawks were led by Jeff Petersen (Syracuse, NY/Henninger) and John DeAngelis (Swampscott, MA/Swampscott) who each tallied a team high of five goals. The Hawks defense was led by Miles Rutkowski (Swampscott, MA/Swampscott) who tallied eight ground balls and caused three turnovers. The Hawks were led in goal by Michael Munoz (Avon, CT/Avon) who tallied eight saves on 22 shots.
The Pride's next game is Saturday (Apr. 16) against Anna Maria College.
The Hawks next game is Wednesday (Apr. 13) against Lasell College.
