PRIDE SET TO TAKE ON HAWKS

Weston, Mass—The Regis College men’s lacrosse team is set to take on Becker College Monday (Apr. 11) at 7:00 p.m. The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 3-2 and is on a one game winning streak. The visiting Hawks enter the contest with an overall record of 5-7 and are 2-1 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

The Pride is led by sophomore Bradford Hastings (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) who has a team high in points per game with 4.8. John Basbas (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) and Billy Stewart (West Roxbury, Mass./Catholic Memorial)  have been solid contributors to the Pride’s offense.  Basbas currently ranks second on the team in points with 18, while Stewart is a close third with 15.

The Pride’s defense is led by the duo of Tyler Beyor (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) and Breandan Crane (Billerica, Mass./Arlington Catholic). Both keepers have played a solid first half to the season. Beyor and Crane have stopped a combined 56 shots on the season.

The Hawks are led by David Deschenes (Gales Ferry, Conn./Ledyard ) lead the team in total goals on the season with 36. Jeff Petersen (Syracuse, NY/Henninger) is the team’s main setup man tallying 16 assists on the season. The Hawks defense is led by Michael Munoz (Avon, Conn./Avon)  who currently has a team high of 95 saves for the season.

The game is to be played at Regis and is set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
