REGIS COLLEGE HOPES TO CAPTURE VICTORY AGAINST DANIEL WEBSTER

Weston, Mass.—Regis College (0-9) men’s lacrosse will host its final game of the 2010 season Tuesday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. versus Daniel Webster College (5-4). Freshman Bradford Hastings (Mansfield, Mass.) leads the Pride with 19 goals this season.

Hastings has a .662 shots on goal percentage. Sophomore Wade Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass.) trails Hastings with six goals for Regis College. As a team, Regis College has a shots on goal percentage of .659. The Pride average 19 shots per game, compared to Daniel Webster’s 43.3.

Regis has collected 270 groundballs going into Tuesday’s finale. Freshman Stephen Bottex (Norwood, Mass.) has led the team, acquiring 60 groundballs in nine games this season. Teammates Andrew Goldberg (Solebury, Pa.) follows with 42.

Michael Kaplan (Braintree, Mass.) and Thongsythavong are tied third with 24 apiece.

Sophomore Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn, Mass.) has saved 128 shots on goal this season. The two-sport athlete, LaMacchia, has had an equally successful season in men’s lacrosse as he did for soccer in the fall.

Regis will look to finish out its season with a victory over the visiting Eagles.
