JOSSELIN NAMED NECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College senior Jonathan Josselin (Medford, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week this week, it was announced by the NECC offices on Monday. Josselin helped lead the Pride to a 1-1 week last week, while helping Regis secure a spot in the NECC postseason.

On Tuesday, Josselin scored six points, grabbed four rebounds, blocked a shot and handed out five assists in the Pride's 67-60 setback to Newbury College. In the final game of the regular season, Josselin just missed out on a triple-double, scoring 13 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and posting 10 assists. For the week, Josselin averaged 9.5 points per game, 7.5 assists, six rebounds and shot 61.5% from the field.

This season, the senior is third on the team in both points per game (9.8) as well as in free throw percentage (74.6%). Josselin leads the team in assists per game at 2.3 and is tied for second on the team in steals per game (1.0).

Jonathan Josselin and the Regis College Pride begin NECC postseason action as the No. 6 seed and will take on No. 3 Wheelock College on Tuesday night in a 7:00 p.m. game.
