PRIDE COMPETE AT BSU INVITE

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Bears Track & Field Invitational on the campus of Bridgewater State University Saturday morning.

For the Pride men, freshman hurdler Matthew Malone (West Roxbury, Mass.) finished second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.64. Senior sprinter Joe Greco (Oxford, Conn.) placed seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.34. In the shot put event, newcomer Frank Pelleteri (Freeport, Maine) finished eighth overall with a distance of 11.73 meters. Teammate Daniel LaFlamme (Watertown, Conn.) finished behind his classmate with a distance of 11.70 meters good enough for ninth place in the event.

On the women's side, Fatima St. Hilaire (Dorchester, Mass.) took home a second place finish in the women's triple jump with a distance of 10.13 meters. Keegan Duguay (Watertown, Mass.) earned a 10th place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.03. A pair of Pride throwers finished sixth and seventh in the discus event with Ayeshah Malhi (Merrimac, Mass.) and Liz Ksepka (Calais, Vt.) tossing the disc at 30.82 and 30.03 meters respectively. Kate Cowden (Wilmington, Mass.) rounded out the top-10 finishes with a throw of 27.86 meters.

Regis returns to the tracks next Saturday, April 2nd at the Snowflake Invite hosted by Tufts University at 10:00 a.m.
