PRIDE RACE AT SEAN COLLIER INVITE

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday.

On the women's side sophomore Caroline Haidul (Canton, Mass.) set personal bests as she dropped her time significantly in the 100 meter dash (14.83) and the 200 meter dash (31.60). Freshman Zaria Powell (Framingham, Mass.) ran personal bests in both the 100 meter (14.14) and 200 meter race (29.6). Freshman Molly Curtin (Brockton, Mass.) ran a 10 second personal best in the 1500 finishing the race in 5:26.05. In the field, Freshman Ayesha Malhi (Merrimac, Mass.), improved her distances in the shot put (9.11 meters) and the discus events (28.27 meters)

On the men's side freshman Sam Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.) broke his own school record in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:55. Junior Jonathan Paul (Medford, Mass.) broke the school record in the 1500 meter race with a time of 4:36.76. Owen McQuaid (Marlborough, Mass.) finished close behind his teammate in the 1,500with a time of 4:39.28. In the field events, sophomore Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.) placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.83 meters. Junior Ray Grasso (Orange, Mass.) competed in the 400 meter hurdles and finished the event with a time of 58.66.
