REGIS TAKES PART IN CORSAIR CLASSIC

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Regis College men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Corsair Classic on Saturday afternoon at UMass Dartmouth.

On the men's side, Matt Owens (Boston, Mass.) finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.04 and posted another third place finish in the 200 meter dash (22.73). Jeremy Israel (Boston, Mass.) added a fifth place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.28, while Joseph Greco (Oxford, Conn.) had a time of 54.75.

Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.) ran the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:15.28, and Ray Grasso (Orange, Mass.) had a 12.02m jump in the triple jump. Paul Gionfriddo (Burlington, Conn.) threw the shotput to 11.98 meters.

For the women, Diana Tran (Somerville, Mass.) posted a time of 15.01 in the 100 meter dash, with Talia Minichiello (Shrewsbury, Mass.) finishing right behind her at 15.93, and Caroline Haidul (Canton, Mass.) rounding out the Pride finishes with a time of 16.33.

Senior Sarah Schow (Southborough, Mass.) ran the 5000m run at 22:11.37, and Kylie Homem (Peabody, Mass.) finished the 100 meter hurdles at 20.39. Nina Dow (Grafton, Mass.) had a shotput distance of 6.51 meters to round out the day.

The Pride travel to UMass Lowell next Saturday for a 10:00 a.m. meet.
