Feltz, McQuaid Join Pride Swim & Dive Program as Assistant Coaches

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College swimming and diving program enters the 2021-22 season not just with a new head coach, but also two new assistant coaches, as Amy Feltz and Elisabeth McQuaid have become part of Diana Matthews's coaching staff.

Feltz is the new assistant men's and women's swimming and diving coach, coming to Regis after graduating from North Central College in Naperville, Ill., in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and minors in psychology and wellness. As a two-sport athlete, Feltz earned three Academic All-CCIW titles in swimming and an Academic All-American award in triathlon.

Feltz was also inducted into the national athlete honor society Chi Alpha Sigma. Feltz has a wide variety of coaching experience, working with athletes ranging in age and ability level, but specializes in exercise programming as well as competitive and non-competitive swimming.

McQuaid returns to the Pride as the assistant coach for diving. A record-setting diver during her time as a Pride student-athlete, McQuaid set the school and pool one-meter dive records in her junior year and qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Northeast-North Regional Diving Championship. Her junior year was capped by her selection as Regis Co-Outstanding Female Junior Student-Athlete of the Year.

McQuaid was a two-time GNAC champion in one-meter diving and a four-time All-New England honoree, finishing third, second, second, and fourth at the NEISDA Championships. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Regis College in the spring of 2020.

The Regis College swimming and diving team opens the 2021-22 competition season Saturday, Oct. 9, with a home meet against University of Saint Joseph and University of New England beginning at 11 a.m. at the Regis Pool.
