Women's Lacrosse Earns Top Seed in NECC Tournament

WESTON, Mass. - After going undefeated in New England Collegiate Conference play for the fifth consecutive season, the Regis (Mass.) women's lacrosse team has earned the number one overall seed in the NECC Tournament, set to get under way next week.

With the top seed, the four-time defending NECC champion Pride receives a bye into the conference semifinals, where they will face the winner a First Round matchup between #5 Becker and #4 Wheelock that will be played on Tuesday. The winner wil travel to Weston for a semifinal matchup on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

Elms College received the other first round bye as the #2 seed, and will face the winner of #6 Bay Path and #3 Southern Vermont on Thursday.

The winners of the semifinal games will play for the NECC Championship on Saturday at the highest remaining seed. 

The Pride will conclude its regular season on Saturday evening when they travel to Framingham State for a non-conference matchup with the Rams at 7:00 p.m.
